Altinkum

Altinkum is situated on the southern Aegean coastline of Turkey and is well known for its large golden sandy beaches and ancient ruins. Two airports serve the resort, Bodrum which is 1hr 15mins away and Izmir which is 2hrs away.

Altinkum is quieter than the resorts of Bodrum and Marmaris and has a much laid back feel. The area has 3 sandy beaches with water-sports facilities, coastline rambles and ancient sites to visit. A large variety of restaurants along the promenade offer local cuisine as well as international dishes to suit all tastes. 'Dolphin Square' has delightful tea gardens beneath the palm trees and is surrounded by bars that can get lively in the evenings.

The quaint harbour offers boat trips to the small islands and coves around Altinkum and also has a ferry service to Bodrum and with the local town of Didim a local weekly market, large supermarkets and the famous 'Temple of Apollo' provides you with plenty of places to see and enjoy.
There is a private hospital and a state hospital within the resort, two GP practices plus numerous dentists, opticians and vets.

A new marina is currently being constructed with completion expected in summer 2009 which will be able to service 400+ yachts, making Altinkum a great choice for investment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Akbuk

Situated 5km along the coast of Altinkum towards Bodrum is this large undiscovered bay of peace and tranquility.

Akbuk is surrounded by alpine forests and mountains and is famously known for its beautiful turquoise waters and numerous small sandy coves dotted along the coastline. Tourist restaurants and bars are relatively sparse. However this resort is popular with French tourists who stay at a holiday village within the bay.

With the increase of property sales, the resort has begun to develop further with the introduction of more bars and restaurants making this an ideal place for long term investment and even a retirement home.

 

Bodrum

With its own airport, just a 15minute drive away, Bodrum is situated on the southern Aegean coastline. It is a fascinating resort with ferries to Kos in Greece as wellas many gulets and boats offering daily trips around the peninsula.

The heart of the town is based around the harbour where a vast range of bars, shops and restaurants are nestled together in the narrow streets. The most prominent featureof Bodrum is the castle of St Peter that casts its shadows over the harbour and is a great place to explore. Bodrum is also home to the Mauloseum of Maussollos, one of the 'Seven Wonders' of the ancient world.

A thriving community with a cinema, modern shopping centre and many supermarkets, the town has both private and state hospitals, numerous dentists, opticians and vets. This popular resort and its peninsula with tranquil villages is an ideal location to invest in property.
